Wevie is Composer & sound designer Al Boorman.

Al started out at the age of six by recording a group of chickens down an old army telephone into a tape recorder, then playing it back while hitting a 4 string guitar & a biscuit tin.

Not a great deal has changed since then, but he does now own a computer.

Working in as many genres as possible, Al uses real instruments as well as the ubiquitous computer, believing that the most creative results are found by using both in equal measures.
Unconventional software, instruments and methods of production, combined with sound design that is integral to the musical composition (rather than just an added layer) help to make his work unique, bringing moving images right out of the screen.

As well as the work featured here, Al has released 6 Albums with his band Wevie Stonder, extensively toured various European venues and festivals,and recorded sessions at the BBC’s legendary Maida Vale studio’s for BBC radio 1 & 3.
