I Am Ampersand is Matt Hainsby - a talented multi instrumentalist and songwriter based in Brighton.
I worked with Matt on his excellent debut LP Grave Goods, for The Great Pop Supplement label.

Although based around traditional song structures, Matt's way of writing and recording included some really interesting DIY takes on production and sound generation which I was keen to take a step further with him.

Remaining sympathetic to the core feel of the tracks, we shaped the record into something quite unique by being quite free with the production and mixing aspects. Really enjoyed working like this. 

The album recieved some great reviews and BBC 6 music radio support from Jarvis Cocker.
