I Am Ampersand is Matt Hainsby - multi instrumentalist and songwriter based in Brighton.

I worked with Matt on this record - his excellent debut LP Grave Goods, for The Great Pop Supplement label: a "rather lovely mix of Syd Barrett, late-period Beatles/George Harrison and the Beta Band" (Drowned in Sound).
